- When entering the microscopy-hall or the study-room, put your outerwear and luggage in the cloakroom or on hangers and empty tables directly in the classroom. Please don't carry bulky items and luggage directly among the microscopes. There is a risk of them falling and being damaged. Changing shoes is not mandatory, but is recommended, especially in the winter months. Please leave your outdoor shoes in the cloakroom in this case. A white coat is not necessary.
- Eating and drinking is prohibited in the microscopic hall and the study-room of the department.
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the building. In the event of smoke or large amounts of dust, a fire alarm may go off.
- Use the microscopes only as you learned during the first practical class. If a malfunction occurs, do not repair the microscope yourself and contact the department staff. Do not tamper with other electronics.
- A student is not allowed to enter the departmental laboratories without a teacher..
- Any injury or signs of illness should be immediately reported to a teacher.
- Immediately report any damage to a microscope slide to an department staff member. Be careful about the shards.
- A malfunction of any equipment should be immediately reported to the department's staff.
- In the event of a fire or other emergency, leave the department as directed by department staff.
