Research

The main topic of the Department's scientific activity is the study of histological, histochemical and ultrastructural changes induced in the organs of the respiratory system by various experimental interventions or pathological conditions. In collaboration with other departments of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine, other faculties of the Charles University, medical faculties outside Prague or the Czech Academy of Sciences, the staff of the Department also deals with the histology of a number of other organs and tissues (see Publications).
